How we calculate this

  • First we count how many customers match the email.
  • Then we remove people we are not allowed to email.
  • Then we hold back a small test group who do not receive the email.
  • Then we estimate how many people open, click, and buy or take the action.
  • The most important number is the extra result compared with people who were not emailed.
  • This helps avoid counting sales that would have happened anyway.
